A Note from Diane
You worked so hard to write your draft. It’s hard enough to get down what you want to say for yourself. But the act of editing imagines a reader now trying to make sense of it all. We now need to consider how clear we’re being, if the pacing is enough to sustain interest, if what we are writing will be of interest to someone else…or even a lot of people. That can be frightening. I have been there. But I have found paths that worked for me, that shed light, that made me ecstatic with joy, that helped me come out on the other side.
